Vice-Chairman's Message

MAI - Vice-Chairman's Message

Nurses are ‘the most trusted healthcare professionals.’ They are with patients throughout the continuum of life. Nursesare teacher, advocates, caregivers, critical thinkers, and innovators.

Nursing is not just a job. Being a professional nurse means the patients in your care must be able to trust you, it means being up to date with best practice, it means treating your patients and colleagues with dignity, kindness, respect and compassion.

The scope of nursing is the range of roles, functions, responsibilities and activities which a registerednurse is educated, competent and has authority to perform. … Nursing practice involves advocacy for the rights of the individual patient and for their family.

Our institute believes the student prepared for nursing & paramedical class will provide competent comprehensive nursing care in hospital and community and illustrate extra ordinary skill and attitude in caring for individuals at all the levels of preventions and continue of health in the individual.

MAI is emerging as one of the major contributors in the Health Care Delivery System of Kumaun region through quality professional Nursing Education, Service and Research.
